Húsafell Resort ehf. has finalised financing in the amount of ISK 1,100m for continued development of tourism-related services in Húsafell.

Currently at Húsafell are a high-quality hotel, restaurants, a swimming pool, a golf course, camping grounds, and a vacation home community.

The expansion of Hótel Húsafell is now underway, and forthcoming is a recreation centre that will provide recreational facilities and additional services at Húsafell.

Kvika acted as adviser to Húsafell owners for the transaction. The financing was in the form of a share capital increase plus long-term financing provided by Landsbankinn.

Following the transactions, Húsafell Resort ehf. owners Bergþór Kristjánssonar and Hrefna Sigmarsdóttir have joined forces with a company owned by Ómar Benediktsson, Finnur Reyr Stefánsson, Tómas Kristjánsson, and Jón Diðrik Jónsson, which now owns 50% of share capital in Húsafell Resort ehf.
