Kolbrún Jónsdóttir

Kolbrún Jónsdóttir was appointed to the bank´s board as an alternate member in March 2025. Kolbrún was born 1962. She holds a Cand Oecon degree from University of Iceland. Kolbrún worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Íslandshótel, having served on the board from 2015-2016. Kolbrún was the Manager Director of the investment fund Kjölfesta in the years 2012-2016. From 2008-2010, she worked at the insurance company VÍS as the Chief Financial Officer. Kolbrún worked at Íslandsbanki in the years 1996-2008 as a Branch Manager and Director of bank´s Back Office, in addition to working in various projets for the bank. In the years 1989-1996 she was the Chief Financila Officer of Húsasmiðjan.
Kolbrún has extensive experience in management postions and has, amont others, served on the boards of Íslandsbanki, Húsasmiðjan, Íslandshótel and has been the chairman of the audit committe of a pension fund. Kolbrún controls 12.850 shares in Kvika through Tópas ehf. Kolbrún does not have any interests in major business entities, competitors, or large shareholders within the meaning of the Guidelines on Corporate Governance and is independent from the company.
